About the Firm

With a heritage of  innovative solutions and perspective offered to our diverse clientele, Aguirre, Greer & Co. is uniquely qualified to work with clients ranging from individual taxpayers to the most complex business structures and transactions.

Founded by Robert D. Greer, CPA, the firm expanded to include, Eric Aguirre as the firm’s principal and CPA.  Carrying on the tradition set by Rob, Eric has a diverse background of professional services at the highest level as an alumni of the Big Four accounting firm KPMG, LLP, having worked in business and industry in senior level management positions and by having private business and real estate interests of his own.

His experience, as well as that of our proven staff of tax managers and accounting associates, allows us to offer a full array of accounting, tax and business advisory services and solutions.  We are more than tax compliance providers and accounting technicians.  Our background and perspective allows us to partner with you and understand business from your point of view as the entrepreneur and understand the day to day challenges of actually running a business.

Our Team

With over fifteen years of experience in the public and private sector, Eric brings a wealth of professional service and hands on business management experience to the practice.   After graduating magna cum laude from Cal State LA with a degree in Business and Accounting, Eric began his career with KPMG, LLP focusing in manufacturing, retail, distribution, entertainment and service sectors.  As an assurance manager, Eric was responsible for overseeing small to multinational audits and coordinating tax and consulting services.  Eric entered private industry working with private equity held businesses is various accounting, finance and operational capacities leading the charge on efficiency, cost reduction and financial planning and accounting support services.  As a principal of Aguirre, Greer & Co., Eric is responsible for the coordination and delivery of client service to all current and new clients of the firm.  Eric works closely with our managers and staff ensuring an efficient and cost effective delivery of all services provided to our valued clients.  Eric is a proud member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), California Society of CPA’s and the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA).

Malcolm brings a wealth of experience to our firm in the areas accounting, business management and tax preparation, having worked in middle and upper level management positions in the government, public and private sectors, as well as having owned and operated several of his own successful businesses throughout the last 30 years.   Malcolm is a detail oriented, hands-on professional and serves as an invaluable partner to the firm and resource to many of our business and individual clients, assisting them with their accounting, income tax, administrative and business management needs.  His ability to quickly adapt to constant changing environments and to objectively analyze administrative, management and fiscal problems has been recognized repeatedly by clients.  Malcolm has a Masters Degree in Management, is member of the National Society of Accountants, The National Association of Tax Professionals, The California Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals and is registered with the IRS and State of California as an income tax preparer.

With more than thirty years experience in the corporate and private sector, manufacturing and professional services arenas, Mickie brings a background in accounting with an emphasis on cost accounting to the firm.  Mickie brings a unique perspective to the firm and is an invaluable business partner when working with our clients given her real world experience in company management complemented with her experience delivering excellent professional client service.   Mickie is a key partner and is a vital contributor to our practice.   She received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and a Master’s in Global Business from the University of Phoenix.

 

With a degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Phoenix, Vanessa is a welcome addition to our team.  Prior to joining our firm, Vanessa developed her own clientele for tax preparation services for individuals and small businesses.  This experience along with previous experiences working in local CPA firms provides our firm with an added resource to address the needs of current and new clients.

Rebecca has been with the firm for five years and has developed a strong reputation for service and reliability.  Rebecca has over 30 years of Senior Administrative Assistant working with CPAs, CEOs and CFOs. She is also a KPMG Alumni.
